Website listening preferences and anonymous audience counts (October 2026)
The Lynx website can remember the last radio station you selected using your browser's local storage. It uses a separate browser flag to estimate new versus returning visits, and session storage to avoid counting the same tab session repeatedly. These settings do not use a unique visitor ID and can be cleared through your browser's site-data controls.
Our first-party website statistics store daily aggregate counts of browser visits, successful station listening starts, shared station links, and broad mobile/desktop categories. The statistics database does not store names, IP addresses, individual event records, precise device details, or a browsing history. These website interactions are different from the listener statistics provided by our streaming host. The collection respects supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals. Hosting and streaming providers may separately process standard technical connection logs for delivery and security.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services (e.g., analytics providers, advertising partners) that collect information about your interactions with our website. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing data use.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your personal information.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Disable cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
